I had yoyos in my old tank! Beautiful set up! So do you plan on adding anything else?

It took probably around 4 month and growing to around 8-10 inches before Queen seemed comfortable enough to come out (though I'm sure a change of scenery helped). For the Sen, I really am not sure. They were never really that shy to begin with.

I would imagine give it a good month or two in the 80 gallon and Stumpini should come around and be much more interactive, and less easily spooked. He's got the right set up, and a quiet part of the house...and no aggressive competitors either.

Thank you. As of right now there is no plans for adding any other fish. The reason being is that all 8 loaches are going to grow up sometime. If they could happily remain in the 80 gallon I'd prefer it. But Yoyo's when well taken care of can reach 4-5" and the Rostata (there are at least 3 in there) grow bigger than that.

So what an update. So besides being a great escape artist, master of hunting shrimp, and winner of hearts Stumpini is a master tail thief. As you can see he stole Bluegill's tail:

Or at least this is what I assume. I know that Bluegill has bitten his tail off before. However it's been a long time since he's done that. It has had some good growth lately but....I still think Stumpini decided to be naughty. So as a precaution since I don't know exactly what happened I've moved the Bichir over to the 150 gallon.

Bad Stumpini!!! Poor Blue-Gill! But it doesn't look like it dampened his spirits! I do hope Stumpini will be okay with the big girls.

Bluegill is one of those fish that refuses to die. Not that I want him to, he's darling.

Well, it was interesting to watch. Once going in each rope-fish came over to investigate him, and so did all the rainbowfish. The male went over several times to flash his stripe for some silly reason.

Since then Stumpini made his way over to the other side, met both Queen and the Sen and they both were pretty curious too. Stumpini chickened out though and went to the top of the tank. I just got back from picking up black worms, and he's happily eating those.

Say what you want about bettas, but they sure are tough little fishes!

It sounds like it was quite cute watching Stumpini get acquainted with the big girls (and that one funny male rainbow). But I can imagine it was actually a little worrying. Glad that there is a peace now.

O.O Oh NO! Poor Bluegill can't seem to get a break lately! I'm sure all will be well, hope he recovers very quickly, poor dude! I hope all remains peaceful in the big tank. . .

I know it's been a long time since I did any sort of an update. I still don't have much in the way of news to add. Bluegill's tail is regenerating though. Clover attacked the water change hose and took a ride through it (but he's fine thankfully).

The frogbit is going nuts in the 10 gallon, and I finished a video for another site:

You can see Stumpini all the way at the end. He holds his own now, and tends to get the left side to himself. The rainbows are beginning to show signs of really good color.

I've been wondering about you... glad things are going so well over there - these tanks are just BEAUTIFUL I loved the video - it must have taken forever to get such great shots of every one of them... Looks like both of the communities are really gelling now and the plants look like they're going nuts :) Love it!
