WHERE to set up the 30g?

I just can not decide where to put that tank up at in the house

1) Here in the office next to the 55g - So that would be big tank vs lil tank on one wall and 2x10g's across the wall?
2) Angled in the corner of the hallway?
3) On a triangle table I have between the 2 couches so you could view the tank from both sides?
4) Built a stand that will house 1x30g and 1x10g on top and a 10g underneath (not idea for viewing) that's sitting in the corner (you know kinda like L shaped stand 1 tank on the left part and 1 tank sitting on the right part)?
5) The "bar" in the kitchen that's open to the hallway that really never get's used ever except for housing my house plants this past 1 yrs now?

I think that's about all the spots I sorta like (sorta not hence the reason I'm torn here) and I gotta start figure out where to put the tank at cause plants are already ordered

I say the bar in the Kitchen. Will be close to the sink,and if your like me,,,I spend considerable time there . Would be nice to have something to look at while baking or cooking (burning in my case).
I have a 56 gal Tall tank and a 29 gal in the kitchen.

I say in the office since you're in their often. However, is there maybe enough room to put the 30g between the 2 10g so it's 10, 30, 10. That would look ascetically pleasing.

I also like the triangle table and the idea that you could view it from both sides. That always looks really nice too. You can view it from both angles but then I guess you wouldn't really have a "back" for taller plants...hmmmm....

The bar is also nice because you are in the kitchen a lot and can enjoy it while cooking.

Kitchen would indeed be nice - Well actually since its all open being a bar not a wall you would view the tank from the kitchen and the hallway.

I thought about that too Lisa but I'm missing some 3" here urg! However the bare wall across my bar that's like almost 10ft long I could built a nice stand that has 2 taller parts left & right and a lower part int he middle so that in the end all tank (2x10 and 1x30) sit on there and with the differences in height that tanks on their tops would sit level with one another in the end - Thoughts???

Yea see now that was my concern yesterday: How do you structure/ plant a tank that really is open on both sides and has no true "back" - That would need some serious aquascaping research on my end cause all my tanks so far always set against a wall somewhere's.

I spent some time thinking about this as I was cleaning this morning. I'm liking the idea of being able to see it from both sides more and more. I'll have to see if I can dig it up, but do you remember that thread maybe a couple months ago where someone set up a 30g-40g tank between their living room and kitchen? That was planted and looked really nice. Maybe you can do the taller plants in the middle (for a background for both sides) and smaller plants on both sides in the front on each side. You know, I like this idea because it's something you don't have yet

Lisa I recall this very thread as well but do not recall its thread name nor the User and can't find it here.

One GOOD point my neighbor just made (she loves coming by watching my fish and dogs) Maxx is very 'playful' with the 10g Betta tank, put's his paw up on it try's to "lick" the Betta outta there through the glass etc. So my neigbour questioned that while the corner table used as a stand will hold the stand - What if maxx jumps up on there too wanting to get the fish (since its between 2 couches he'd just need to get up on the couch when I'm gone) so now because of Maxx I'm really not sure if I wanna test how much dog a 30g can really take - Hubby say's it'ss all be fine - Me I'm more the scary cat here about this....I donno but I have GOT TO go figure it out soon.

Silly Maxx. I'm going to go with the hubby on this one. A 30g tank with water will weight ~240lbs PLUS the weight of the gravel. I think you'll really be fine there. I'm going to go hunt down that thread for ya.

LOL last night and this AM its moving around diff spots sit there for a while and let my eye's take it all in and then move it to the next spot LOL

I came up with yet ANOTHER idea last night when I couldn't sleep BUT that would involved MOVING the 55 and 45g around as well - VERY unlikely that'll happen; so we'll wait & see which spot's gonna look the best to me in the end LOL
