Where do you keep your fish tanks?

As I was sitting her contemplating the idea of getting another tank, the thought of Where would I keep it came to mind. I currently have 2 tanks in my office and I would like a larger tank but really no where I can put it. Also the thought of how strong is the floor and will it sustain more weight comes to mind. I know that tanks are quite heavy and one must take that into consideration when adding tanks. The reason I am thinking this is that the only place I MIGHT be able to have one is in the living room which would be exactly behind the wall the current 60 gallon resides.

Where do you all have your tanks? Especially those of you who have so many? Where are they all?

I have one 55g in a 2nd floor bedroom, one 29g in the living room. When locating the 55, I put it on a wall that I knew was load-bearing and had good support under it. Figure a minimum of about 8 pounds per gallon of tank, just for the water. Gravel weighs more.

2x 75 gallon & 40 gallon breeder in the basement (concrete floor)

I have multiple tanks (7 currently, a 115g, 90g, 70g, 33g, 29g, 20g and 10g) and with more than 2 I have always preferred having them together. I can sit in the middle and turn to any tank to view it; there is an advantage to this, when sitting quietly for long periods it is interesting what one can see in the way of fish interaction, that you might miss if in another room. So I have a "fish room" at the end of the house. It also makes maintenance easier; one morning a week I run the Python from the laundry sink into the fish room and do all the tanks. One cleanup.

The weight issue is very important. My house is a rancher style sitting on a concrete slab, so weight is not an issue. In a wood frame house with a basement, I would make the fishroom in the basement; this also makes it easier to keep tanks cooler in summer in a basement.

You have a red claw crab . I want to put one in my tank. I have 29 gallon that I keep down stairs in the corner. Do you keep him completely submerged in water?

I have a 135, 55 and 2x10 gallon tanks in the living room, a 55 gallon in my bedroom and a 20 gallon long (QT) on the counter in my master bath. Like Byron I am also in a single story house on a concrete slab so no worries about tank weight.

210, 125, 37, and 10 in my bedroom
100 and 55 in my living room
60 and 10 in my kitchen
29 on the second floor in a niche at the top of my stairs

Reading this thread makes me realize how many of us have MTS :)

(2) 2.5g - spare bedroom

10g hospital tank spare bedroom
45g hex empty atm - will go in new family room in bsmt when it's finished
