When Love isn't enough

Well, another day in fish land and all is well, or so it seems. Upon closer review one might notice the subtle changes happening and the relationships that are budding.

Poor two tone was busy this evening showing off his best moves to the apple of his eye, Blue. Blue is a safisticated girl and wants nothing to do with the likes of him. He is just a... Dwarf Gourami. He is a persistent little guy though and his heart insists he continues to try so...

A shy girl runs to her quiet hiding spot



Two Tone is not put off, he continues to try knowing that his happiness depends on it, plus.. .he knows the secret... Where the side door to the hiding spot is.

So I watch and wait... Will it be a happy ending? Will the swim off into the Pennywort together?
Only time will tell


Will this be the end of this story? Will there be a "happily ever after?"

I think there won't be. All of my gouramis are male and chase each other everywhere I have a flame red named Mango ""who I love to bits". They are only feeling for pharamones with their feelers. Unfortunately there mightn't be any true love. But keep hope

It must be the hopeless romantic in me but I want Two Tone and Blue to swim side by side and travel the world (tank) together.

Ha Ha, I am glad I am not alone. I love the little guy but Blue is my favorite.

LOL I also think there won't be. This thread is more of a joke/story not a true question. It is hard to read sarcasm through the computer. I just love the little guy and it cracks me up seeing him "courting her" and she swims by and whacks him with her tail or turns and goes the other way. He just keeps trying though.

Definitely going to be watching this thread and the gourami love story. Two-tone's determination is cute! Would have made a great photo-story around Valentine's Day.

I am not sure there will be any more to the story but time will tell. Thus far it is the same old thing. Two Tone shows off and kisses up and Blue ignores
