when can I add some yoyo's to this tank

currenttly have a 55 gallon tank. It was cycled with 6 tiger barbs for 2 weeks, and I just added 3 more tiger barbs and a red tailed black shark. I only want to add one more group of fish and thats some yoyo loaches about 3-5 of them. Was just wondering how long should i wait for the yoyo's.

As long as your ammonia and nitrites are zero, then you can proceed to adding them. Good luck with the yoyos.:)

You understand that yoyos are going to get 5" long each? That said, I'd give it another 2 or 3 weeks before adding anything else. With a tank just cycled, and more fish just added, I'd test for a couple of days to make sure that the nitrobacter is up to the task and make sure I didn't get an ammonia spike.

It is fine for your tank. It's just they are decent sized fish...and adding 3-5 will be a large bio-load. It's best you wait a little longer and keep testing so you know when your nitrifying bacteria can handle it.

yoyos really like tight fitting caves. i was in for a shock when i first put two in my tank, they hid inside a fake piece of drift wood that was not really ment for hiding in. i had to find suitable things for them. then they were really fun. i know you are supposed to keep them in small groups, but i did fine with two. 3 wouldn't be too high of a bio load. and they mix great with tiger barbs. just read up on feeding them as well..i had some issues there since tigers eat in a frenzy, it was difficult to keep them away from the pellets i dropped in for them.
