Thoughts on 82 degrees for a community tank....
82 sounds a tad high, may be at the upper end of temperature range. I think Bettas like it up around that high.
I keep my all my tanks @ 77.5 give or take.
It is within the comfort range of all the fish I have and makes the mass water change I do each week easier to deal with. Just one temp, once I achieve that, I just go from tank to tank and fill.
IMHO your rummys would be fine at 82, but not the neons. Neons will burn out and have shortened life spans at anything above 80.
I just recently read that rasboras will breed at 82 degrees, which suggest to me that the rasboras *may* be fine at a temp of 82.
Currently, the temperature's at 26C, which is around 79F.
I want a comfortable environment for my angels without harming the plants, and I think this temperature range does the job well enough.
