ahh ok.. the edge on the tank made it appear the beta was almost half the size of the tank. Silly reflections. Looks nice :)

Day 2 of Masta in his new tank. He really seems happy and seems to enjoy his live plants. We set it up to give the feel of a zen garden. When his plants grow i think he will really enjoy them.

hows your 75 gallon coming around??? I have a 120 gallon heavily planted and its been set up for a while I remember when I set up my 30 gallon and all the mistakes I made and how often I tested it, now it vertually takes care of it self my 120 that is heavily planted has had no changes no new fish and it never changed the nitrates and nitrites were never changing and today after months of not testing the water parameters I checked them and they are perfect. I don't think I coould go through the stress of a new aquarium again for a while I have 2 now and I think I will there started with the 30 gallon then got the 120 gallon I wil have to stop there

Oh man! So, we left over night to new orleans ( to the aquarium no less) and when we came back i expect to find all the platys dead. Lo and behold we only lost one more Platy so still have 5 that seem to be doin quite well. Upon examing the circumstances, it seems the pregnant females were the ones who seemed to make an early demise.

Also when i came home i tried to feed the remaining fish ( 5 platys, 10 black neon tetras and 5 angels) some flake food and freeze dried bloodworms. Ohhhhhhh they were completely snubbing it!!!!! They wanted the frozen food. It was crazy. They destroyed it when i gave it to them. Crazy, spoiled fish lol
