He may be eating when you're not looking. For the longest time all my pleco did was hang out under an ornament, upside down; I never saw him eat anything or even swim around much. I'm thinking he was active at night because he is still alive and has grown quite a bit.

Most people like to blanch the vegetable first, by placing it in boiling water for a few minutes.

Yep. Zucchini, lettuce, courgette, spinach, etc.
Paprika is said to enhance the fish's colors. Never tried that. All I tried are food with color enhancers.

The only vegetables I feed my fish are zuchini and frozen peas (skinned). The peas are supposed to help clear the fishes intestinal tracts and is specially benificial if the fish are constipated.

I read one fish book saying paprika does enhance the colors of fish. A person from a different site claimed paprikas do enhance the colors of his fish.
I don't know how they prepare paprika for feeding to fish and neither have I seen any sites for instructions of how to prepare it.

To be safe, go with green leafy veggies like lettuce and then peas. As no one has mentioned yet how to prepare the paprikas, I wouldn't try them until someone can post proper instructions of how to.
