#1 | | | What to add next
Hey guys, looking for a little input as i cant decide. I have a 75gal well planted and established tank that i am looking to add a few more fish to. I currently have:
1 Banded Gourami
6 black skirt tetra
4 harley rasbora - adding 2 or 3 more
5 cory cat
4 Cardinal Tetra
pond snails - they dont bother me too much, just pluck a few out every now and then.
I was thinking of adding a BN Pleco and probably about half a dozen of one of the following: Lemon Tetra Glowlight Tetra
rummynose Serpae Tetra
I am open to any and all suggestions of what you guys think will be a nice compliment to the tank. i am dying to add angels, but im afraid they wont play well with others. Prob end up doing a seperate angel tank one day.
Thanks
Todd

If I had a tank that large I'd put 5-6 Boeseman Rainbow fish. With good water quality and plants they are so colorful and beautiful, especially males. You'd have to do some research on how they'd work with those other fish. I have the Dwarf Neon Rainbows, but they really don't have much color, unless they are in a tank with lights off and light hits them. I also like loaches, many varieties, peaceful, fun to watch. Clown, Burmese, ladder loaches, Khuli, Angelica Botica (Sorry about spelling). Too many fish names I can't spell and haven't tried to memorize yet :)

I love rummy nose tetra and they would enjoy 75 gallon. ( assuming your ph is no higher than 7 but preferably lower).
They are better in bigger groups though. Maybe 9 instead of 6.
Also you may want to add another 2 or 3 Cardinal Tetra to make them more comfortable.
And I love loaches. Wish I could have them all lol. I have zebra loaches and they are amazing, but there are others like mentioned above. Posted via Mobile Device |

I actually have a few rock caves in the tank. I have a slate rock formation with two caves on each side of the tank. Not really a cave so to speak, but something more like three pillars with a slate top and another two pillars and a top above that, so that it is open on all side for the fish to swin thourgh. plenty of hiding places, but the gourami owns one of the larger ones, he likes hanging out there. I just havent seen any loaches in any of the shops around here. Maybe a Clown Loach once or twice, but i think thats it. I will have to take another look.

I have five in a 45 gal and they are doing great. They are always out and active, even though they do have hiding places and many plants. They love sinking shrimp pellets, zucchini and sweet potato, and any food I feed my other fish, such as bloodworms, flakes etc. They are great, and I'd recommend them. Clown loaches do get really big, so you probably don't have room for those with all your other fish. I got my Angelicus loaches at Petsmart when they were on sale for $5.49. Otherwise they carry them for $10. When you get a group of them, that adds up, but they're worth it. Because they don't have scales, they are suceptible to ich, so you may want to put them in a quartantine, before you put them in your tank. I did that, but had no problems, they were all healthy. Apparently they are all wild caught, so that probably makes them stronger, with better immune systems. I do WC weekly and do keep my tank clean, and that would be important for these guys, but they are not difficult to keep. Check out the profiles on them. Best of luck deciding.
