ways to get your knifefish out and eating in the day

knifefish usually come out to feed at night, right? but i've heard there's ways to get or train your knifefish to come out and feed during the day. i've seen my knifefish out and swimming a couple times, but it usually runs and hides when anybody comes near the tank. does anybody know any tips on making a knifefish more comfortable in the open?

That will depend on your fish whether they like to go out or not.
Some nocturnal fish like my Kuhli Loach even go out and feed during the day.
You fish will adapt to such changes in captivity.:)
