Ways to effectively get rid of red algae?

I am having a serious problem of red algae in my 20 gallon tank. I know I introduced it somehow, wishing now of course that I would have been more patient when adding things into the tank.
I have soaked all the fake plants, logs, filters in hot water and cleaned the sides of the aquarium, and it is slowly but surely coming back.
Does anyone have any methods of keeping this algae away?

Are there any snails that could eat this crap for me???? Any help please....

True Siamese Algae Eaters & otos, (not suggested with the cichlid stock you have) Clown Pleco, bristle nose plecos... sorry but I know nothing about snails

No my 75g is fine, the pleco and algae eater have that tank pretty well taken care of.
I am talking about the 20g with 2 female bettas and 3 cories. I am thinking the best way to go would to be add a snail....
