Water turning a yellowish color- Driftwood?

I've heard driftwood can make your water turn a yellowish color. Reguardless, I got some driftwood, boiled it (I was told it cleans it) then rinsed it off and put it in my tank. It sank, and now, after about a week, my water is turning a yellowish color. I don't mind because I read that it doesn't hurt my fish. Ive been doing little water changes to help, but it always get back to the yellowish color in about a few days. Eventually, will it stop turning yellow?

Sounds like the driftwood is leaking tannins. It is harmless and some fish are at home in tannin stained water... gives the tank a cool look to, especially with brightly colored fish like neon tetras. It only happened after the driftwood was added correct? If so, then it will go away eventually. :)
