some neat pictures of my son's tank. Currently he has 3 zebra danios, 1 gold gourami, 1 silver gourami, 2 snails, 3 ghost shrimp, and 1 albino bushynose pleco. Enjoy!

sorry to say his but i dont' think it's a bushynose (i think you wanted to write bristle nose).it's actually a normal albino pleco as for the shrimps i think they are yamatos and not ghosts.they have long sharp pincers.personnaly i think yamatos are better then ghosts.the good news is i like the tank it's very eye apeasing even with the pink gravel good job

those are some great pics! if you don't mind me asking, what settings are you using on your camera? my wife has a SLR camera, and told me to use the close up setting, but I am having trouble getting it to focus on the fish in the foreground. the plants and whatnot in the background look great, but the fish always look a little blurry.

If you are using auto focus, change the settings over to manual focus, on my dslr there is a switch on the lens to be able to do this. This will give you greater control on what you are wanting to focus on. I find sometimes with my auto focus it gets confused on exactly what I want to be the main subject. Also with faster moving fish it is easier to focus manually, with some practice it is actually faster than auto focus and accurate.

Your son's tank is looking good, thank you for sharing. Thinking about getting some ghost shrimp myself to put in the 5 gallon with my betta. They are the only type that I have seen to be available locally.

Very nice pics. I would recommend you add a handful more Zebra Danio though, 6-8 total at least.

thanks for the photo tip barbH. i switched to manual and sped up the lens setting (i know there is a term for it, i'm just not that camera savvy). now if i can just make the lighting look more "natural" from the flash.

Great pics. I'm not a fan of the gravel (sorry). I prefer to reproduce a more natural aquascape....but each to his own.
