Tis School Break Season Again...

Hey all,
Quick question... My school is coming up on Easter break (Lutheran college = breaks for religious holidays, yay!) and I'll be home three hours away for nearly six days. Question is, should I leave the tank at school or move it home? I really don't mind either way, it's pretty much what's going to be better for the fish. If it helps, the tank currently has two guppies, three ghost shrimp, an odd number of snails, and a bunch of plants.

And on an odd note, would those extended-release feeders be an option? I see them at the pet stores but never heard how well they work.

Would throw a handful of Anacharis,or Java Moss in the tank right after water change, and leave the tank at school .
Fishes will be fine until your return.
Fishes can easily go a week without food but plant matter mentioned would ensure some food is available as well as soaking up any ammonia.
Perform another water change after you return to school and resume regular maint,feedings.

Cool, I already have a fair amount of plants in, including some Java Moss - would that be enough or should I still add new plants?

Prolly would be fine as is then.

+2 - Do a water change and feed before you leave and they should be fine. I have used some of the new gel feeders (last summer on the 3-4 day trip) but they seemed untouched when I returned (fish were fine).

Awesome, thanks guys! Although I'd be happy to take them home over break if it'd be better for the fish, I'd also have to say that it's a relief that I shouldn't have to (10gallon tank + living on the third floor without an elevator + everyone moving out within the same 6 hour period = frightening experience all around).

And awesomely, I found out that my roommate is coming back to the area around halfway through the break to see some family. I'm HOPING that she'll be willing to check in on the tank and add a bit of food once durring the break.
