If it helps, the tank currently has two guppies, three ghost shrimp, an odd number of snails, and a bunch of plants.
And on an odd note, would those extended-release feeders be an option? I see them at the pet stores but never heard how well they work.
Thanks! | Would throw a handful of Anacharis,or Java Moss in the tank right after water change, and leave the tank at school .
Fishes will be fine until your return.
Fishes can easily go a week without food but plant matter mentioned would ensure some food is available as well as soaking up any ammonia.
Perform another water change after you return to school and resume regular maint, feedings.
