I want to thank so many of you for all your great wisdom, help, insight, as I set up my new 43 gal tank.
I washed sand per all the advise of those who went before me. I added more, thanks to Byron who told me plants with roots will need it. My tank has water added, and it looks so amazing!!! I thought the water would be a bit cloudy at first, but not at all - fantastic results. All the sand washing paid off. I know our water bill will be higher next month :)
I will work on getting pictures up soon. I'm going to be waiting to add my fish. I will put the Danios in first and I'm expecting it to need to cycle, though I'm borrowing some material from my existing 23 gal.
I'm in no hurry. Still need to order plants. BTW - I sent an email to Sweet Aquatics" hoping to hear when I could expect an order if I ordered, but haven't heard back (it's been many days). Still trying to decide if I should go with them, or order from one of the other companies mentioned in this forum.
