1-2 African Bumblebee Catfishes
6 Green Corydoras
2 Blue Rams (1M 1F or 2F)
11 Cherry Barbs
1 Peacock Eel (possibly)

Any ideas on substrate fish that are active and one or two more large upper level fish. Open to all suggestions.

For upper fish, stay with quiet rather than boisterous (active swimmers) as these can annoy gourami which are quiet sedate fish. The rasbora (medium-sized species) work well here, and there are some suitable tetra. The Cherry Barb are fine, but about the only barb that should be combined with gourami due to the activity issue, as the other barbs (along with the danios) are all very active. There are several rasbora speciesin our profiles (under the Cyprinids section), and tetra are under Characins. With the latter, as well as the activity, watch out for fin nippers, as many even though normally peaceful with become nippers in the presence of gourami.

Can you give some examples of medium size rasboras? I'm assuming you aren't talking about harlequin rasboras.

Can you think of some cories that stay the same size has the green ones?

Yes, I was thinking of the 3 species in Trigonstigma. And there are a couple others in the profiles I think. The "dwarf" species are very tiny, such as those in Boraras, and might get eaten.

For green cory, do you have Corydoras aeneus or Brochis splendens? Both are in our profiles [click shaded names, that is a link to the profile] with photos and it mentions how to tell them apart. They are very similar in colour/pattern. This makes a bit of a difference, as Brochis get a bit larger. But they are closely related and get along together, as do any species in both genera. We have many species in our profiles.

Can't see the profiles, but it should be the emerald version. They have a iradiscent green on them.
