Snails aren't doing anything

Ok.
My dad ordered about 15 Japanese Trapdoor Snails on ebay a few days ago. Our pond outside has about 32 fish. They are all Koi or Goldfish.
When my dad bought them, they came in some sort of wet paper. When he put them in, they didnt move. A couple of them floated he told me. We have not seen any activity.
I brought one from the pond into my tank, but it hasnt moved yet. I got him an hour ago.
Are they dead? are they shy? Does it have to do with the PH? should i bring it down?

Try moving them into a smaller container you can keep an eye on and see if any move after a couple hours.

What's your pH? Anything in the 7-8 range should be fine. pH isn't something you can really mess with, especially with a pond.

Dead snails stink really really bad. Easy to verify if it's dead. Most snails need calcium for the shells, so generally you want a high GH which usually means a high PH.

I'll leave it at that though as I know nothing really about those particular snails.

The snail i brought FROM the pond has opened his "trapdoor" a little bit. I went in to move him, and before i touched him i saw him move inside. HES ALIVE!
The ones in my pond however, i'm not sure about. I guess they will get out sometime. However, is it because they are shy, intimidated by the Koi?
the snail in my tank isnt moving much other than the little creaks he has recently made.
when will he come out? I just fed my fish, but no reaction from him.

how big should the container for the pond ones be?. there are about 14 quarter sized ones.
