Setting up a New 30 Gal Tank - Need Advice

So I am officially around 3-4 days in and a lot has happened with the tanks:
The 10gal spiked to extremely high level of ammonia ( wont even say how high) *Did 25% water change and added bacteria supplement* Will do another change tomorrow...

Today with 27 Gallon:
-Added Flourish Comp for plants.
-Moved the lonely Cory over to the 27gal
-Bought 4 more Corys to accompany him.

*Had to take a BWT to the LFS as he was attacking all of the other Tetras in the tank.
Many of them had resorted to hiding in the tank.
Also he was eating all of their food.
--Odd thing was when I went to fish him out he completely dropped the blackness of his tail so I had to continue to watch to make sure I had actually captured the right one.--

Right now the Corys are extremely happy! They cant decide on who gets to lay on top of each other. They started their new exploration today by "burrowing" around the edges of my plants. Lost a stem off one of my bigger plants.

That tank is looking GORGEOUS! It's truly beautiful, so happy things have been going well over there :)

Thank you we are very proud of it. I am glad the teenager found something to focus on and he really enjoys it!
