Restarted AQ, need help with filter ??!?!?!?!!?

So I just put together my old AQ. As it stands right now my only iss ue my filter.
I am using my Fluval 405 and with started okay and as expected there were a couple
bubbles that spurted out on start up. It has been about 3-4 hour running the filter on high and the
filter is still pushing out air bubbles. What do you think this is???? To be even more detailed, the air bubbles and the noise of the filter are rhythmic, it gushed water and then you can hear the air bubbling and then it gushes out, and then the water come and then the air.. hope this helps.

I have one theory: my current stand is not super tall, so the hoses in the back hang and then right before they go into the filter, there is a slight incline of the hose before it goes to the filter. << do the hoses need to be absolutely straight down ??

When a canister filter is washed or rinsed or started new, air will be trapped among the media in many places. It is common for this to escape for several hours. Usually after a day it should be out.

One way to assist this is to fill the canister prior to connecting the tubing, and give the filled canister a slight shake to dislodge some of the air pockets.

As for the hoses, that should not matter if it is not too much of a gradient.
