i've decided i need to get a QT tank (i have a female sword who isn't looking the best). is one of the smaller tanks sold as betta tanks going to be ok? i do realize that when i get bigger/more fish i will probably need a bigger one, but i'm looking short term for right now.
I don't know what size a betta tank might be, presumably quite small. I would recommend a 5g tank if space is minimal, or preferably a 10g. A QT also works for new fish acquisitions.
i have one other female, and the injured one and the male have been in the tank together since May with this being the first sign of issues. they are the only two fish from my first attempt to survive. i do kind of wonder if the fact that she hasn't shown any signs of being pregnant in the last 4 months or so is suspicious. i do think the newer female might be pregnant though.
