I've kept cardinal tetras before with the espei and am considering it again. The rummy nose maybe also. I've checked out the Bolivians before too, and like them. My LFS can probably get them if i ask.
I just finished setting up my new tank and i'm posting pictures ASAP. Hopefully in like 10 minutes...lol.
Anyway i have another post going about this DIY project for cheap, so i'm going to post some pics there and also where they can be viewed on my aquariums tab.
I don't have the fish in there yet, going to get my temp just perfect in the new setup.
I used water from my old tank approx 20 gallons; as well as putting some of the old media in my new filter and old substrate as well. I should be able to avoid a mini cycle. Going to take some readings a little later. | If you move filter media and substrate containing bacteria to a new tank, don't forget to have a source of ammonia in the new tank. A fish or two is best. Without continual ammonia, the bacteria will die off. They must be "fed." |
