possible to over-oxygenate?

This is probably a dumb question but reassure me -

I went to buy an air-pump for a temporary uncycled/unfiltered tank to help keep the water oxygenated inbetween water changed. I decided to buy the bigger pump as it seemed I would get more use out of it later.

But boy, that thing is pumping a lot of air! Is it possible to over-oxygenate water with an air-stone??

I don't think it's possible to over-oxygenate, but a too-strong pump can create more current than the fish appreciate.

No, unless it's a planted tank, fish appreciate more oxygen in their water.
But as Batman stated, it all depends on the type of fish going into the tank, as slower moving fish are generally used to calmer waters.
