Pleco ate gourami

Got home yesterday and was checking on my isolation tank and saw that the fish was still alive. As I turned to leave I looked into my community tank and nearly had a heartattack! my pleco was eating what looked like my Kissing Gourami, but turned out to be an opaline gourami! IT was horrible, skin completely gone and completely dead!. THe pleco got removed immediately and placed by himself in isolation. Is this natural for plecos to eat other fish? I am so surprised it wasn't my cory's!

Plecos don't eat other fish. Its highly likely your gourami died for some reason or another and the pleco was just scavenging it. A lot of fish will scavenge off a dead fish if given the chance.
