Is plastic okay in heated tank? Will it cause bacteria?

I have a fifty litre tank and my betta loves sleeping on plants up the top.

I wanted to get a level for him so he can stay up the topp and the other fish can have a cave down the bottom.

I have searched everywhere for something suitable to no avail.

So, wwhen I was at the supermarket I picked up a large plastic microwave safe container.

I have cut the sidea out so it cave like down the bottom and left the lid on so I can put gravel and small plants up the top for my better and I will also put gravel and small plants down rthe bottom.

I am worried that because the water is warm. roughly 27 degrees celcius - the plastic may be harmful - iF I CLEAN THE TANK EVERY FORTNIGHT will it be fine?

Any ideas as I know the fish would love it - but not if it contaminates the water.

I have no idea so please let me know.

If its microwave safe, then I wouldn't worry about 27 degrees celsius. Maintain your tank as regular.

From where I am, 29-30 C is room temperature.

okay thats good coz he loves the top bit

the other fish are a bit confused and are yet to check out the cave bit down the bottom very much but I am sure they will get to like it
