RO water wouldn't work in my case bacause RO water is extremely soft. (RO removes everything from the water that's not H2O. )
BTW, I landed on a solution that worked for me, and I thought I'd post it.
Calcium is what I needed in the water, right?
I used plain, regular, chalk. (calcium carbonate).
I stuck two sticks in the filter, and slowly but surely, over the course of a week or two, everything got to where it should be. |
