Pea Puffer - would I have room?

In my 10 gallon tank, I have 3 Platties and 2 White Skirt Tetras. Since a lot of stocking has to do with levels, i'm just wondering where dwarf freshwater puffers would stand. the tetras stay in the middle and the platties just go all over. Would I have room for a pea puffer? I don't want to overstock :(

Puffers in a community tank are usually no-no. Most people recommend if you're going to have puffers, have a specialized tank for them. If you wanted to include them in a community tank it'd have to be much larger. Even though they only get to be about an inch, they can be very territorial.

Aww, sad day. They are quit adorable. Maybe in a year or two, when I move out of the dorms and buy a bigger tank. i would love to get a 50 or 75 gallon someday.

When I upgrade my 10 gallon to a 29 I'm considering keeping the 10 and putting two dwarf puffers in there. They're definitely cool fish.
