Overstocked??

I have a 26 g bbowfront with a large amount of plants, about 14 species to be exact..
3 swordtails mail 2 female
5 golden barbs
5 cherry barbs
1 female roundtail betta
1 ghost shimp.. all died from copper im guessing(from the small amounts in the flourish)

Plants are:
Moss, Java Fern, Amazon Sword, Green Cabomba, Anubias bateria, Anubias bateria var nana i think lol, crypt wendtii red, crypt Mi oya, Crypt wendtii green x 3, Hygrophila Diff. , Water lettuce (bring out in summer for pond) floating hygrophila diff and water lilly for pond aswell...

wait how many fish do you have in your 26 g tank total?

so if I am reading this correctly you have:

10 barbs (golden and cherry)
3 swordtails
1 betta

with a ton of plants in a 26 gallon? Not overstocked at all IMO.

but if you have 14 fish in one tank isnt that sort of over stocked just curious?

Depends on the size of the tank and the type of fish.

Not at all, I have seen large tanks with 50 small fish in them that are not overstocked and I have seen tanks with 3 fish that are way overstocked. Whether or not a tank is overstocked is more about the bioload of the fish, then the number of fish.

Swimming behaviors also play a large part. My tanks are overstocked according to those "calculators", but allowances are made for what space in the tank the fish use. A tank of nothing but bottom dwellers, while not overstocked according to the calculators, would feel very overstocked to the fish using that piece of real estate.

I would agree, possible territoriality should also be taken into consideration as well.

yeahh those calculators always tell me im over stocked its stupid loll but yeah that makes total sense i never thought of it like that. But i have 4 fish in my 29 gallon hqi bio-cube. 1 is a 6 line wrasse and the other 3 are blue green chromis..I believe those are just rock or reef dwellers so thats not over stocked for swimming room right? and if thats not then i wanna get another 1 or 2 fish but obv i would get bottom dwellers n that would be okay right?
