Now for the fun part What other fish should I get to replace him? Without the shark in there I'd say I have enough room to get at least 5 more fish. Should I get more of the same (i.e., Tiger Barbs or Cardinals) so that they are in a bigger group? Or should I introduce a whole new species in there?
You have the fish in your sign right? If I was you (and I'm guessing your expectin this answer from me already) I'd DEFINITELY get more Cardinals - The larger the group the better and it just looks plain awesome too!
Just out of curiousity--how big is your Rainbow Shark? Ive got one in my 29 gallon and he is freakin huge. He is about 3/4 of an inch to an inch tall without fins and about 5 inches lon from nose to tail. HE is so pretty I couldnt make myself take him back--even after 6 dead neon tetras and the remaining 3 being terrified of him. I like him better than the tetras so Ive kept him.
Overcrowding...uhm...maybe I'm missing something but you have a 32G with 1 Kribensis - 7 Tiger Barbs - 5 Cardinal Tetras - 2 White Clouds RIGHT?
I'd get at least 5 more Cardinals....and then I may even consider a small Cory school in there.
What really is THE rise and fall stocking a tank is A) good maintenance (and not too much as in your case) and PLANTS, PLANTS, PLANTS - of cause that doesn't make a unlimited stock list but in such a tank set up, you can house more fish (if compatible) then in a empty "water bucket" set up that doesn't get proper care.

Uhm the reason he's bring his back...they grow to be some 6+" and should be housed in a 70+ gallon tank.... These fish are VERY territorial and/ or highly aggression towards small tank mates, which is why they need a adequate home with only large tank mates.
I'll cast a vote for 8 new White Cloud Minnows. I have and like Cardinal Tetras, but they don't seem to be very active. My schools of Harlequin Rasboras and White Clouds are far more active and entertaining to watch. The White Clouds are the most active by far and seem to be easy to breed too. Oh yeah, and I really like the coloring, not as bright as the Tetras, but still nice.
Hey Lisa, I hear you about the Shark. He's still on the small side of things (about 3 1/2 inches in length) but he keeps chasing my other fish around the tank... especially the Kribensis. She doesn't seem to care so much though. But as fun as the shark is to watch clean the plants all the time, I'm tired of having a bully in my tank so I'm taking him back before I get too attached!

So Angel... I am unfamiliar with Corys but I know that there's a bunch of different kinds. Is there one in particular you'd suggest? I'd like them to stay on the small side if possible...
