New Idea for a fish store

Ok all pet stores here in Ottawa, have some sort of return policy. Petsmart is 2 weeks, Big Al's is 7 days but they will only give you 3% of what is was worth, Little critters has 2 weeks but its fish for fish trade, Crittle Jungle I beleive is 2 weeks aswel. All places do not give money back all instore credit which is good aswel.

I want to open a fish store that allowes trade ins all the time regardless of anything except sickness. A place if your looking for a larger fish you can find it, of any species. A place were we can give top dollar to anyone. 3% is nothing it kind of makes me never return fish to them, but it is a great place to shop due to the fish being very healthy, I have never lost a fish bought from Big Al's.

If I wanted to find a 18" pleco I can't find any that big at any pet store, but at my petstore 18" would be normal, 5 lb Oscars, 4 lbs Pirrana, 2' Goldfish what ever anyone wants that is big. The way I would get them is advertize the we take in Big fish, trades, or whatever. Making it worth their while to come in and trade to something they might have wanted for a while.

Just an idea right now.....

There is a fish store by me that is similar to that. Most of the fish they have are trade ins. The problem is they have these very large fish in 55-75 gallon tanks with one 125 gallon. If they don't have a quick turnover it could be harmful to these fish. For this reason I rarely go there. So, as mentioned before you would need a lot of space and big tanks.

the fish store I go is little known and its owned by ppl from Thailand and they always have prety big fish!
beautiful and healthy, The Black Ruby Barb i got from him where 2 inch long , he had some fully adult,
anyways if you want to open a store like this where to do now only sale small fish and always take returns.
It works!! cuz they do that :) and every fish returned will go trough isolation etc. they have kois of over 20 inch ! they are awsome! :)
