New 90 gallon tank!!

I picked up a 90 gallon with wood cabinet stand, 48" light, fluval 405, 305 and an ac110, stealth 200W and another 200W heater, all kinds of hikari food......for $250

came with 2 fish - a 12 inch Oscar and an 8 inch JD - which will be rehomed.

Sweet deal! That poor JD looks a little rough.

They are both beat up. The guy kept them in the tank with only a little terracotta pot. Late last night I added some decor and the JD looked better instantly and now this morning the fins are no longer clamped. He's still roughed up though. The 2 fish spent 2 hours in a 6 gallon bucket, so it's not a surprise they didn't look so good when I took the pics. Also, there is no ick - those are air bubbles.

Yeah, I could see the air bubbles around the fish so I figured that's what that was. Be careful about treating those fish so well or you're going to end up not wanting to rehome them at all!

Were you able to seed the filter on the 90 gal with some filter material from one of your other tanks? Some quality pellet food along with some greens ,should have the fish looking good in no time.
Used to have an Oscar that loved grapes which I gave him/her once or twice a week.

I took the fish in to the LFS the next day - my girlfriend didn't want to get attached. The tank was up and running when I bought it, so there was no need to seed any filters.

I got a $5 credit for them.
