It looks very warm (low K rating). You want a daylight light, something around 6500K. For that size tank, nothing larger than 10W.
Too much nutrients (or light) will cause algae though, as you've discovered.
Flourish in itself is fine to use, most of us with planted tanks do. For that size you would do 0.4 mL per week, a day after your weekly water change. | Well, the bacopa and crypto has grown very well, but the algae killed the ludwigia and eleocharis, so, I want to control the algae problem first, before to do changes on the light, I'm using the API algaefix, but seems I read it wrong, it's not for three day, it's EVERY three days, so no more algaefix today, maybe the sunday, if the algae persist. |
