Thanks a lot | Yes. All pictured fish are cichlids from the rift lakes of East Africa. I used to know which lake too, but sorry I've forgotten, I haven't kept these beauties since the mid 1980's.
They need hard water (around 20d GH), with a corresponding high pH (8-9). And lots of space. They are highly territorial, with outcome as redchigh accurately said. Lots of rock caves to establish their territories.
