Need to cycle a tank ASAP

I have been away for over a month and my fish were taken care of with only 1 problem. one of my betta tanks cracked and he has been in a water change cup for 4 days last i just bought a 10 gallon eclipise system with the filter and a new heater so my question is how do i get that tank up ASAP i was thinking of filing it with water thats from a bigger more established tank is that a good idea???

The water is useless. Take some gravel from an established tank or filter media if its compatible. That will help things cycle faster.
