Moving tank to my dads! Need help going in 1 hour!!!

Hello, im really quite stuck! I am taking my Goldfish tank to my dads because im nto allowed 2! And i was wondering how i can transport them?? I was going to fill a large bucket with the tank water and put the Goldfish in there for transport? But thenm shall i keep the filter suckered on to the side of the tank with the bottom bit the the sponge etc in the water??
And my biggest worry is about myt amano shrimp, which i have 2 of? I would like to put them in my large fish tank (tropical) but my lfs said i cant because the nitrate is 2? So if i cant put them in my tropical tank how do i transport the shrimp?? Thanx again and sorry for the long post!

I just have some questions. Are you transporting 1 Goldfish or 2? How long is your trip? Why are you moving the Goldfish? What are you doing with the water that doesn't fit in the bucket? Is the destination of your trip going to be his new home, or do you have to take him back with you? How many days will you be gone (and your Goldfish in the bucket)? etc.

Your lfs said you couldn't put your shrimp in your other tank because your nitrates were at 2? I don't have any expierence with shrimp (crawfish, but not shrimp), but do they like nitrates? I am wondering if your lfs was refering to high nitrites. You probably do have the presence of high nitrites in your new tropical aquarium so I don't know what you could do with the shrimp.

2 smallish Goldfish, they will be in the bucket with all of there water. My dad lives 30mins away. I will take the bucket with fish and water in the bucket (shrimpin jar) then i will put the tank at my dads fill half water up get filter goinf then move fish in. The fish wont be in the bucket for more than 40mins. Does that answer your questions??

I don't know about the shrimp, the Goldfish will be should be Ok (the shrimp probably will, too. I just haven't done much research on shrimp). Goldfish can live with relatively low oxygen conditions, though I would not recommend he live in a low oxygen inviroment. Moving him for 40 minutes shouldn't be a problem.
