Moon Lighting a 29 gallon tank

I've been pondering the idea of adding moon lighting to my fish tank, and I was wondering if it would even be a good idea to do it or not. I think it would be a really cool effect, but I don't want to bother the fish. I'm also not sure what to buy. I have a 29 gallon tank with 3 tiger barbs, 4 pristella tetras, 2 coreys, and a gold tiger gourami. The light I'm thinking about installing is the 24 inch version of the R2 Solutions Signature Series Moonlight. Would this be too much light for a 29 gallon? Would there be a better option out there for my tank? The input would be much appreciated!

I've always thought about doing a similar thing on some of my tanks. That moon lighting just looks so good! I looked at the same unit you linked to there, and it definitely looks nice, but it also looks like it'd prevent you from using it in conjunction with regular lighting on a tank 12" wide or narrower (like your 29g).

I haven't used them so I'm not sure how good they are, but something like this might be a better option, since you'd be able to stick them inside of a regular strip light next to the fluorescent fixture:

I'm not sure how good the coverage would be, or how easy they'd be to install. Has anyone used these before?

Keep in mind, though, that none of the fish you listed are particularly nocturnal except for the cories, so you might not see much action at night with the moon lights on. But...it would still look cool.
