My cichlids are hovering by the heater when I walked by. Is it because they are cold? (temp 76)They have been playing flag football all day so Me seeing this worries Me.
Should I turn up the heater a tad bit?
Many chichlids prefer temperatures around 80F, but I'm not an expert.
I suggest you verify the temperature requirements for your specific fish in in the Tropical Fish Profiles (Main menu in this forum).
Also, you might check your tanks water temperature at various locations and depths to ensure you have the necessary circulation to ensure against thermal gradients.
