just an observation.

my fish in one of my tanks really seem to respond to me either talking to them or things i am doing in the room where there tank is. if i am anywhere near it- within seconds, they are all right up next to the glass...watching me...its sorta cute and creepy (in an alfred hitchcock way) at the same time. being a psychologist / behaviorist i am assuming its cause they want to be fed and i am the only one who feeds them. its weird though, they don't do it to my husband or anyone else. just me. he could stand there and talk to them all day, and they wouldn't budge. this implies learning history and a more complex memory than i really thought possible from fish. i am continually surprised by things they can do!

my severums do the same thing actually, sometimes the blue gouramis do too. then again im awfully good looking, so who can blame them :D

they are begging for food..... i have a coule tanks where it seems every fish in the tank gathers if i put my hand on the glass.

Most fish will relate you to food and when your around will wait for their food.

But in all seriousness,all mine do the same,
they all flap about at the front of the tank,
and they will follow me from one end to the other,
and make me feel bad,so i give them a little something.
