Intro new guy from NYC

Nope no Co2, I have heavily planted tanks. And other then adding the proper lighting all I do is add a liquid fertilizer like Seachem's plant supplement once a week. These plants are failrly easy to grow, heck at one point they started tanking over my tanks. A while back I started a new job that is very physical, so I stopped tanking proper care of my tanks for a bit and the next thing I new my fish had no swimming room. And had to do some major pruning

Ah that's sweet I was just going to ask if my hood on my aquarium would be a problem. Guess not. I'm about to buy a marinelife double bright led light anyone got this?

I have not seen any of these plants in my stores just the top fin anubias and amazon sword haven't had time to visit the independent shops anyone ordered floating plants from a website they could recommend?

I would stay away from LED's, I read they don`t do to well with live plants, as for ordering plants. I live in Canada and we can`t order live plants online so I can`t help there!

With the newer LED light systmes coming out, it is an option for planted tanks, but they are very expensive and you need to know what you're getting. I've no experience with LED so can't offer further, but some of our members I believe have them.

The light you have seems fine. Is it T8 (the regular fluorescent tube) or T5?

Chris mentioned some floating plants, they are in our profiles with photos.

Ah cool. This forum is awesome I've already learned so much from that feature. I can't wait for this cycle to finish to start adding fish. Thanks guys.
