i once met a guy who was running a 50g with no live plants and like 2 Goldfish. He never feeds, doesn't even turn on the light and he said the fish has been there doing fine for over 5 years.

Now that is unbelieveable! The person I know does feed, but with an automatic feeder. Sad when you have a tank and put so little time into it - why bother!
