| | I inherited an overstocked tank!
I bought a 36 gallon bowfront aquarium from a friend who is moving out of state. She sold it complete with all equipment and fish. I got it home, re-filled it and started cleaning it last night. I've had a 10 gallon tank for over a year, and even when I let my tank get a little dirty, it was NEVER this bad! The water was brown sludge. The tank currently has 2 angelfish, 2 dwarf gourami, 2 glass catfish, 3 rosy barbs, and 2 chinese algae eaters. I used an aquarium calculator and found out that the catfish and barbs need to be in groups of at least 5, and that the algae eaters are too big for the tank. I don't know a lot of people with aquariums, but the ones who do keep them are all fully stocked! What do I do with these fish?!?!?
