| | How often to feed bloodworms / picky/sick Killi
So here's my dilemma. I have an eight gallon tank that has cycled beautifully and is now home to a snail, some espy's rasboras, and a pair of killifish. I started the tank up in about February or so. All of the fish are doing wonderfully with the exception of the female killifish. She looks emaciated and her coloring is very uneven. Strangely, the male, who was sold to me at the same time, is flourishing. The female has very little interest in flake food and is unwilling to compete for it. I tried targeting her with tweezers and separating her off in a breeding box so she wouldn't have to compete with the others and even then, she does not eat with any gusto.
HOWEVER, when I put frozen bloodworms in the tank, she goes nuts. She'll eat until her belly bulges if I don't watch her. So I'm thinking she may not be sick, she may just be picky. What do y'all think? How often is it safe to feed her bloodworms? Is she sick, or just picky and stubborn?
