Hi...and please HELP!!!

I just did a 35% water change on my 75 gal. Now most of the aerators will not work & my fish are in distress! I'm sorry to come here with a cry for quick help, but I see there are 21 members here right now, so I'm hoping some of you can offer suggestions.

I tried hooking up a different aerator, checking to make sure the tubes were still all connected, looking for tubes with water in them....

What am I missing...?

Maybe you accidently knocked the air pump and it came out of the electricity socket, or the air line is kinked, make sure it hasn't got a bend in it... Check to see if the air pump is still vibrating.
Best not to do such a large water change... 25% max unless your treating a sickness... On such a big tank like that, it's not necessary for such a large water change. Just my two cents...

To add to what kritas has said, IMO air stones are not vital to the health of your fish... Sure they help but only two of my tanks have air stones and the ones without do fine. Your fish won't suddenly not have enough oxygen. The stress is probably from the large water change.

do u have live plants? then ure fish shd be fine without airpump.
do u have labyrinth fish? They thrive in low oxygen water.
u can turn ure filter outlet in such a way that it hits the surface and u'll get enough oxygen from the surface. all the co2 will go out of the water tho this way...which will make ure live plants grow slower
If u do a weekly water change of 20%, then it shd be fine too.

ure fish are prob stressed cos u've been meddling with the tank for too long.
