Hi all..... newbie here

Hello, new guy here. just wanted to introduce my self. My name is Shad I'm from MA and I recently aquired a 72"x18"x18" 100g aquarium as a tip for a tattoo I had done this past month. I cycled the tank testing the water once a day for about a week and introduced 3 african cichlids this morning. one is a jewel one is a red tiger (looks more like a straight up orange to me. lol) and one is a bumble bee. people are always asking why 100g for your first tank, I say WHY NOT!! lol well I hope to learn a lot here and I'll keep you all posted on he progression of my new underwater world.

sure did! he gave me the entire set up the only thing i needed to purchase was a few feet of 5/8 tubing for the filter, 2 air stones and filter medium. pretty sweet deal in my book. :D

:D Welcome Shad! Great tank! You will find that when it comes to aquariums, BIGGER is better. Congrats!!

Welcome Shad! I'm from MA also, so hopefully we can share local fishy tips.

100G is a great tank to start off with, much easier than a smaller tank cuz little mess ups don't effect the water so much!

Cause I'm good, lol. no, but really, the tank was still established the day I got it I replaced the filter medium but reused the biowheels and substrate this provided enough beneficial bacteria and all was well.

P.S it was established for 5+ years with african cichlids precisely what is in there now
