Thanks for your help, Ill update this thread when I get the new tank up and running...
Just to keep in mind, The danio, and the neons, are a shoaling fish, they like to be in larger groups, 3+ would be the minimum I would keep them in. So your danio may have been stressed out with the aggressive fish in the tank with him, and no one to hide with.
Otherwise, good job stepping up and taking care of the fish, sounds like you got most of it under control!
