I recently bought a 70 gallon tank that was used for saltwater fish in the past, and i cant seem to remove the water stains from the inside. I mean I've tried everything I can think of, from soaking the stain in vinegar, scraping with a razor blade, even tried glass cleaner and the classified section from the paper. None of these seem to work, and I would really love to get the stains off before setting up the tank. Please help!!
Well, technically you can use nearly anything, provided you clean with great vigor using water when you are finished to get ride of the cleaning agent.
So if soaking in vinegar isn't working (do you use a cloth or paper towel or something to soak it? Not just spray and leave it?) you can pull out the big guns and use something like CLR.
Just remember, you have to make absolutely sure you clean any residue out, even a drop can be fatal.
