Glow Light Tetra Bobbing the top of the water

Greetings all,

I have 8 glow light tetras in my 20 gal tank. Just in the last few days one of the glow light tetras has been bobbing at the top of the water line. I have run water tests and everything is with in perimeters.

All the other fish are acting just fine, he doesn't seem to have any damage to any fins or other signs of disease. The one difference he has is that in one of his gills I can see the red, like the gills are open, hard to explain I will try and get a picture.

But,

Should I be concerned?

As I sit here, he just fell to the bottom of the tank unmoving, I have taken him out and given him a fond far well, obviously he was sick or not doing well.

Sometimes you just never know what caused a death. Sorry you lost one of your fish :(

This happens. Keep close observation on the other fish in the tank, looking for any signs of non-normal--respiration, behaviours, lethargy, hiding, gasping or remaining near the surface, not feeding, etc. Just to ensure it was specific to the affected fish and not contagious.
