Fish Suggestions For 55 Gallon

Recently I acquired a 55 gallon tank that was caked in algae and took about an hour of scrubbing to get it all off. I have plenty of 29 gallons but for me a 55 gallon is a large tank.

I need recommendations of what fish to stock. I would prefer them to be peaceful. (There goes cichlids already.) Probably would like a mix of small and large fish. The fish that were in the tank when I got it were some cory cats, danios, and a lot of platies. The platies I will put in a breeding tank with my other platies, and the danios (around 5-6) and corys (6 of them) will go in the 55 gallon.

The very interesting part about the cories is that there are 2 cories that are under 1/2 an inch yet no new fish had been added to the tank in around 3 months. Does this mean that the cories laid eggs and somehow a couple survived?

How about a couple Discus? They should get along fine with your danios and corys.

yeah but those r super expensive, I would go with some fancy guppies, neon tetras, pristella tetras, and whatever else goes well, I am also upgrading to a 55 gallon tank, and thats primarily what I'm getting...
