Byron I see that you do not feed your crew before a water change, is that due to stress on a full stomach or what? I was doing the opposite, I give them a really good feed, wait an hour or so and then clean out the tank really good. That way I have sucked up all of their fresh poo and old food and the tank is so clean and fresh.

Yes. I can't remember the science, but I think it has something to do with the effect on their digestive process that follows. They should be relatively calm to properly digest food.
