yeah i wouldnt expect california to be much different from chicago or the DC area, Java Moss would go around 2-5 dollars, it also matters about quantity since a small lump would obviously be cheaper than a big lump. the palm of your hand is about 3 dollars, so if the moss is the size of your palm then it should go around 3 dollars. Its hard to get ripped off on this since its a common plant and seen at many lfs.
