1) I have 7 Mollies and 7 Platys at the moment and was hoping to get 1 or 2 Dwarf Gourami's from my local LFS, but thought I'd ask how well they get along with other fish, mainly livebearers before I went ahead and bought them.

2) How well do they do in pairs?

3) I was thinking about getting some Neon Tetra's in the tank too, how are the Dwarf Gourami's with Tetras?

4) And while I'm here I might aswell ask about Nano Shrimp - Do the Mollies/Platys/Gouramis stand a 'good' chance of using the shrimp as a food source?

I would read the profile on them, click the blue name in your own post, all your questions should be answered there about Dwarf Gourami.

As for shrimp, it can be hit or miss. You may want to get a couple ghost shrimp first to test the waters, see how your individual fish will react. They're usually only a few cents each.

I've seen Shrimp go for no less than £4 here in the UK!

Even Ghost Shrimp? They are the clear see-through ones. They sell for 33 cents here in the big chain stores.

Red Cherry Shrimp cost a couple dollars, and the more exotic ones go up from there though.

That's why I say start with the cheap ones before buying an expensive snack for your fish ;)

Yeah, the Red Cherry ones are around £4, so are the Ghost ones. Bamboo Shrimp are around £7-£8. Those are the most expensive ones I've seen, as they get rather large. - However, I'd much rather have the smaller Shrimp than the larger variety.

I have a Dwarf Gourami in a community tank with neons without any issues. The only time I ran into trouble was trying to keep multiple male's in the same tank.
